H.E. Mr Ndolamb Ngokwey, DRC Ambassador to the UK to Speak at UK–Africa Business Summit 2025

The organisers of the 15th UK–Africa Business, Trade & Investment Summit 2025 are honoured to confirm the participation of His Excellency Mr Ndolamb Ngokwey, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to the United Kingdom, at this year’s summit on Friday, 12 September 2025, in London.

Hosted at the Royal Horseguards Hotel, the summit convenes over 500 senior leaders from Africa, the UK, and the international investment community to deepen cross-regional partnerships for trade, energy, infrastructure, and development.

Ambassador Ngokwey will deliver a keynote titled:
“DRC at the Epicentre of Critical Minerals and Renewable Energy: Strategic UK‑DRC Partnerships for Shared Growth”

His remarks will spotlight DRC’s unmatched resource base—supplying over 70% of the world’s cobalt, one-third of its coltan, and significant reserves of copper, lithium, and diamonds—and the country’s pivotal role in the clean energy transition.

With growing UK and Western investor interest in energy and mining (including projects by KoBold Metals and Gridworks), DRC offers a unique opportunity to build sustainable, ESG-aligned value chains. Ambassador Ngokwey will also moderate a high-level panel discussion on “UK–DRC Energy & Critical Minerals for the 21st Century: From Policy to Projects.”

• Formalising artisanal mining and strengthening ESG frameworks
• Major solar energy and electrification projects (e.g., Green Giant 1GW)
• New reforms: DRC’s induction into the OECD Global Forum on Tax Transparency
